Career History

Switching to study Information Technology was more of a move out of the tactical realm that engineering and computer programming deals with and towards strategic planning and management.

Mechanical Engineer

In high school I knew I wanted to either be a stock broker or an engineer. I went to Lawrence Tech because there I could use my strengths in mathematics to my advantage.

Later, after getting a job in engineering, I got frustrated with how little computers were being leveraged and switched my major to Computer Science.

I stayed in engineering and after a couple years became a minor shareholder in a company named The Quadrum Group which provided engineering services to the material handling industry, specifically designing conveyor systems. The experience made me adept at extracting value out of assets and minimizing risks.

Computer Programmer

When I was 12 I started writing programs for the Commodore 64.
